Margo Diricks is postdoctoral researcher and bioinformatics research scientist in the Molecular and Experimental Mycobacteriology group at the Research Center Borstel, Germany. She is interested in microbiology, antimicrobial resistance and molecular epidemiology of mycobacteria and other emerging lung pathogens. Currently, she is involved in different projects regarding molecular typing of bacteria, such as Haemophilus influenzae and Mycobacterium abscessus. For the latter, she developed a cgMLST scheme to delineate global population structure and transmission and is curator of the publicly available M. abscessus 7-loci MLST scheme at pubmlst.org.
